Country musician Tyler Childers and his band the Food Stamps have set the internet on fire with the announcement of a new triple album, Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven to be released via Hickman Holler Records/RCA Records on Sept. 30.

The album, which is a follow-up to 2020’s Long Violent History, will come in parts, each featuring three different versions of each song. Hallelujah, Jubilee, and Joyful Noise are each uniquely different in their approach. Childers said in the announcement,

“I grew up Baptist and I was scared to to go to hell. And a lot of that stuck with me. Filtering through that and trying to find the truth, and the beauty, and the things you should think about and expelling all that nonsense has been something I’ve spent a lot of time on. This is a collection that came together through those reflections.”

Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven is available for pre-order here.
