Nominations have been announced for the 56th Annual CMA Awards!
The star-studded show will be hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning and will air live from Nashville November 9th.
The Country Music Association announced the nominees on Wednesday, causing quite the stir in the country music industry.
Not surprisingly, first-time nominee and Louisiana-native Lainey Wilson leads the pack with her 2021 album Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’ making her only the fourth artist in the history of the awards to earn six nominations as a first-time nominee. The Heart Like A Truck singer is up for album of the year, female vocalist of the year, new artist of the year, music video of the year, the musical event of the year, and song of the year.

“This is my first time being cordially invited to the CMA Awards and what a wonderful invitation it is,” Wilson said in a statement. “It has been such a challenging but beautiful journey up until this point and to see the country music community and the incredible fans be so receptive to me and my music is such a blessing.”
It sounds like the CMA Awards are going to be an epic display of girl power as country queen Miranda Lambert continues her reign as the most nominated female in the awards show’s history with a staggering 61 all-time nominations. Among the nominations for the If I Was A Cowboy singer is “Entertainer of the Year.”
