Who is Centric? Well, that’s a question that most people in the music industry are learning quickly. Centric is a Bay Area (SF/Oak) record producer that is slowly but surely making his name known. As half of the west coast hip-hop duo “Grand Opus”, Centric has found a way to keep his hip-hop roots and style of production alive, while at the same time experimenting and diving head first into other genres such as R&B & Jazz.

Grand Opus has released three full studio albums to date, starting with their 2016 release “Forever” which many underground hip-hop enthusiasts label a “classic”. Joc Scholar, the MC out of Fresno, CA works well with Centric by delivering complex rhymes over Centric’s soulful, yet futuristic production. Their latest release “The Season”, which dropped late 2020 was well received by hip-hop fans during the “thick” of the pandemic.

While Grand Opus fans await more music from the duo, Centric has kept busy working on his long awaited compilation titled “Love Received”. The compilation, which will be official proof of Centric’s versatility and range as a composer is set to be released late this year. An official release date has yet to be announced.

Centric has released 4 singles off the compilation to date. “Vibes”, “Sunday Drive”, “Timing” & the latest single “Always On My Mind” featuring “Kenya” & “T3” from the legendary hip-hop group “Slum Village”. Each single has a unique vibe and phenomenal sound that can only enhance the excitement of the full release coming later this year.
