In the saturated expanse of Nashville’s music landscape, an artist has emerged, breaking down barriers and reshaping the narrative of country music. Twinnie-Lee Moore, better known as Twinnie, is not just another musician; she is a trailblazer whose journey embodies the essence of authenticity and perseverance.

Hailing from England, Twinnie’s path to Nashville’s country music scene was anything but conventional. Raised on a musical diet of Billy Joel, Bob Dylan, and Dolly Parton, she was drawn to the genre’s storytelling prowess, despite being worlds away from its heartland. This affinity for country music was more than a musical preference; it was a deep-seated connection to a genre that spoke to her soul.

At just four years old, while most of us were chewing on the edges of coffee tables, Twinnie had already begun performing live on stages. She knew then it was her calling to entertain.

While many artists have the kind of coveted connections that can gift a “foot in the door” of the industry, Twinnie had none. “I really had to figure it out for myself,” she previously shared with CMT.

Not one to wait around for life to fall into her lap, she hit the ground running, performing and proving herself until, at just 18 years old, she landed her first job in a musical theater production with Queen’s lead guitarist, Brian May. She worked hard, honing her craft in West End Theater shows where she discovered her love for writing and storytelling, a skill that would later become integral to her music career.

“I’ve always had a love for writing,” Twinnie shares. “I’ve written screenplays before, and I’m a very visual concept person. I was always writing in that storytelling way before I even thought about visiting Nashville.”

With this newfound passion, she began paying her proverbial dues by performing in dive bars on the side. Her relentless drive and work ethic during this time would add an intense and intentional layer of authenticity to her music for years to come.

Reaping what she so passionately had sown, Twinnie quickly found herself sharing the stage with mega-talents such as Michael Bublé, Robin Thicke, and Pharrell Williams.

In the midst of her European success, a co-writer friend recognized her unique writing style and intense love of country music and did the only logical thing, they introduced her to Nashville. The British beauty would spend the next eight years traveling back and forth between her home in England and Music City before finally relocating in April 2023.

The move sparked the beginning of a new era for Twinnie and added a unique facet to the age-old shimmer of Nashville’s country music scene.

Being nothing short of her authentic self, Twinnie’s heart was heard quickly and she was introduced to hitmakers (and fellow transplants) Lindsay Rimes and Phil Barton. Bonding over their experience of being the “outsiders,” the three joined forces to create the popular single, “Welcome To The Club.” Built on their shared passion of inclusivity, the anthemic and highly relatable “Welcome To The Club” wowed listeners and critics alike.

“Welcome To The Club,” her inaugural American EP of the same name garnered more than 24 million streams.

“Nashville has embraced me fully and I’m so grateful for the community that I have here. It’s an incredible town.-Twinnie

Highlighting her genuine nature and raw talent, Twinnie was invited to make her Grand Ole Opry debut in November 2023. Following that milestone achievement, her “Lonely Long” music video premiered on a Times Square Billboard and her single “Bad Man” charted on US Radio.

Her upcoming single “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” is poised to be a fan favorite as Twinnie has a beautiful habit of baring it all when it comes to her romantic history. It is that deep transparency and soul-healing passion for mental health within the creative community that has driven her to become more than an artist.

She is an advocate.

When 2020 halted her music, Twinnie started a music collective aimed to lift up women in the music industry. Her non-profit “I Know A Woman” has contributed greatly to the standardization of therapy for artists within label and publishing deals.

“The music collective “I Know A Woman” is a rotating roster of songwriters and artists that aims to offer inspiration, empowerment and collaboration with songwriting workshops, mentorship programs and other opportunities.”FORBES

Twinnie’s story is one of courage, resilience, and unwavering passion. She is not just a British artist making waves in country music; she is a maverick, a pioneer, and a force for change. Named one of 2024’s CMT Next Women of Country, her life and journey is a testament to the power of music to transcend boundaries and bring people together, proving that with dedication and belief in oneself, anything is possible. Twinnie is not just redefining country music; she is redefining what it means to be an artist in the modern world.
