Carly Pearce enlisted Lucy Hale and Shiloh Fernandez to bring her latest single “We Don’t Fight Anymore” (feat. Chris Stapleton) to life in a new music video directed by Alexa Campbell.
The video intertwines scenes of Pearce singing in a candlelit room with Hale and Fernandez, conveying the song’s emotional depth. It depicts a couple trapped in emotional disconnection, even disputes seem to escape them.
As their isolation intensifies, their indifference becomes evident when their house engulfs in flames, symbolizing their crumbling relationship. Pearce said, “Having talents like Lucy and Shiloh were truly such a gift.”
This collaboration is a full-circle moment as Pearce previously toured with Lucy Hale as a backup singer when Hale pursued country music. Hale’s brief music career led her back to television, while Pearce gained traction as a solo artist.
In 2017, Carly Pearce released her breakout single, “Every Little Thing,” becoming a GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM Award-winning singer/songwriter. “We Don’t Fight Anymore” marked a new era for Pearce, with a strong start on country radio.
Pearce shared on social media that the song captures the relatable feeling of heartbreaking distance and indifference in relationships. Co-written with Shane McAnally and Pete Good, Chris Stapleton’s vocals added a magical touch.
Pearce said, “Having Chris Stapleton join me on this song was a dream come true and he unlocked an element to the story that I didn’t even know it needed.”
