Here at Bridge we receive hundreds of music submissions every day and if you know anything about us, you know we love to hype up as many of you fellow artists as we can. Within those submissions are hidden gems that we count ourselves lucky to come across. The band Alibi is one of those gems.
Formed at the height of lockdown, band members Laurie Blayney, Stan Thompson, Connor Stratton-Darling, Joe Toone, and Mickey Casartelli came together with an idea of something more than the shaky times they were living in and starting rehearsing together in a small, industrial estate in Charlton, London.

With influences like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Stone Roses, and The Sex Pistols, on top of the moody, raspy vocals of Blayney, it was pretty much inevitable that an oldies-lover like myself would fall in love with Alibi when their demo came across my desk.
If you’re lucky enough to be in the UK, Alibi has several gigs lined up in the next two months at venues in New Cross, Soho, and the Water Rats King’s Cross. They also have three new songs in the pipeline to give you that nostalgic, grunge-y angst that we live for.
While the men of Alibi are just getting their music off the ground, I am personally looking forward to just how high they go.
Check out their music below and be sure to follow them on socials for the latest on new music, shows and more.
