Indie rock band The Happy Fits are thrilled to release the music video to their single “Little Ones” available everywhere now.
The track is off of their recently released album Under the Shade of Green available everywhere now.
The Happy Fits says, From the demo phase of “Little One”, I was getting an ethereal and otherworldly vibe. The song is a message to my future kid, so a kids-themed music video felt absolutely warranted. Every Christmas, my girlfriend’s family watches The Muppet Christmas Carol and the event is perhaps one of the most wholesome experiences on Earth. I wanted to channel a similar energy into the Little One video, so I made-up cute, alien puppet named Bilfo (crafted by the brilliant TJ Jacobs). I started planning the video with my good friend Christopher Pasi (who produced our ‘Get A Job’ & ‘What Could Be Better’ music videos) in early August this year. It was the most intense and coordinated music video we’ve ever made, requiring several different artists from puppeteers to set builders to animators to painters and prop makers; I think we used all of our art contacts at our disposal and then some. We set aside a weekend to paint the sets (lead by the amazing Juliette Hunter) and then the another 3 days to actually shoot the video. We ended up shooting until 4am on the second day, however, everyone was so inspired by the footage that we knew we had to finish strong.”

The long-awaited third studio album, Under the Shade of Green, is a moment of processing the last two years for each of the three band members, and invites listeners to join them. In typical Happy Fits fashion, however, the band blends serious subject matter with inescapable hooks and melodies, beaming instrumentation and unparalleled charm.
The latest single off of Under the Shade of Green, “Little One” is a sweet ode to the band’s future children, inspired by English singer-songwriter Tom Rosenthal’s many songs dedicated to his daughter. It is ultimately a track that encourages one to feel everything they need to feel, to embrace vulnerability. While a bright future can be difficult to grasp, the track’s chorus finds comfort in the uncertainty. It fits right in with The Happy Fits’ goal of their live show, and their music’s messaging–the desire to offer each other support, and a place to belong.
The previous single, “Around And Around” along with its thrilling, pineapple cartel-set music video, is a track that mirrors the feeling of life being an endless loop with its mesmerizing circular guitar riff. Earlier singles include the irresistible “Dance Alone,” and its accompanying house show video shot at the Cameo Villa, here, and the lead single, “Changes,” came along with a whimsical video,
