Following her Sunday afternoon appearance supporting Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium, the football star is already experiencing a significant surge in popularity. A spokesperson for Fanatics, the official e-commerce partner of the NFL, revealed, “Yesterday, Travis Kelce ranked among the top five best-selling NFL players and witnessed a remarkable nearly 400% increase in sales across the Fanatics network of websites, including NFLShop.com” as reported by CNN.
Although Kansas City’s impressive victory was the main story, Swift’s presence at the game stole the spotlight. The game’s color commentators frequently mentioned her, and cameras frequently captured her reactions, as if the 41-10 defeat of the Chicago Bears was the Grammy Awards. Swift sported a red and white Kansas City team jacket during the game, fueling speculation that has persisted for over a week about her rumored relationship with Kelce. To date, neither Swift nor Kelce has officially commented on or confirmed these rumors.
Travis Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, who is also an NFL player, has enjoyed teasing the rumored romance in various interviews. Travis had previously expressed his willingness to go on a date with Swift back in July after attending The Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium. During an appearance on the New Heights podcast, Travis shared that he had attempted to give Swift his phone number through a friendship bracelet but was unsuccessful. “I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he confessed at the time. Reportedly, the pair left Arrowhead Stadium together after the game on Sunday and were seen driving away in a convertible.
After concluding the initial leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour in North America, Swift is set to hit the road again on October 18th for the start of a three-night series at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. Meanwhile, Kelce and his team will return to action on October 1st when they face off against the 1-2 New York Jets on the road.
