Her song has gained popularity on TikTok, and has amassed streams amongst listeners all over the world.
Bridge: Where do you find inspiration from as a songwriter?
NL: I find inspiration as a songwriter from many things. It can be something that I’ve personally experienced, to my own culture, to change I wish to see. Inspiration can strike me at anytime so I try to write a thought down, or make a voice memo as soon as something comes to me so that I can refer back to it later.

Bridge: Can you tell us about the team that worked on the song?
NL: I recorded “It’s Not Me, It’s You” at Zeph Park’s studio in Santa Monica, California. Zeph did an amazing job producing the song and he killed it on guitar. We have been in talks to work on more projects, so I’m looking forward to it!
Bridge: How would you describe your sound to a first-time listener?
NL: My genres include electro-pop, pop-rock, and dance-pop. Often I like to draw from the past and mesh the sounds of todays music. As it relates to this release there is a 1970’s vibe. In some of my songs I also infuse sounds inspired by my Middle Eastern and Spaniard roots.
Bridge: What projects are you working on right now?
NL: I’m currently working on a song that’s Middle Eastern inspired and is in the realm of dance-pop/hip-hop.

Bridge: What’s songs could we find on your playlist or what do you listen to in your free time?
NL: It really depends on what mood I’m in but one of my ultimate favorite genres is classic rock so I could be listening to Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, or Metallica. I love listening to Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, and Harry Styles. I listen to a little Waylon Jennings too. I listen to 2Pac and Drake. I believe I have an old soul so I also love Frank Sinatra, Janis Joplin, and Elton John.
Bridge: What about your life inspires you the most to make music?
NL: I feel that writing songs is very therapeutic. I love getting my emotions out whether it be sad or happy. I like being able to inspire others through my music and evoke emotions in those who listen to my music. For the most part I make songs that you can dance to, something that puts you in a good mood.
