Rihanna is back with new music for the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.”

The song entitled “Lift Me Up” serves as a tribute to late “Black Panther” actor Chadwick Boseman. It was co-written by Rihanna in collaboration with Tems, the movie’s director Ryan Coogler and Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson.

In recent years, the “Umbrella” singer seemed to take a break from music, focusing on being a new mom as well as running her apparel and beauty businesses. “Lift Me Up” comes as a welcomed surprised her fans and fellow artists alike.

Rihanna had previously teased the new music with a 14-second clip ahead of the release.

Tems said in a statement, “After speaking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them,” “Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor.”
