Hello Fiasco, the pop-rock band that was formed when members of The Mailman’s Children joined forces with other celebrated Canadian musicians, blasted onto the scene in 2021.
The band, who has been compared to legends like Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, and David Bowie, released their debut album “Find The Shoreline” to Spotify in May while the global release date is set for August 4th.

In its short time existing solely on the popular streaming platform, the 12-song album has already amassed in excess of 1,000,000 streams and been added to over 2,000 playlists. A feat fitting for the powerhouse band, who continues to make a name for themselves by proudly maintaining the quality of music and lyrics that at times, seems to be lost in the new generation of music makers. The first single off the album “Hold Me Close”
currently has over 300K streams on Spotify, and the video is at 100K views now. You can view the Official music video for the single here.
The success of the album comes as no surprise given the team of all-stars behind the project. “Find The Shoreline” was co-produced by frontman Eric LaBossiere and award-winning Canadian producer John Paul Peters (Propagandhi, Arkells, Comeback Kid, Faouzia, Royal Canoe). Peters recently won both Audio Engineering and Producer of the Year awards at the Western Canadian Music Awards.

Notably, the album was mastered by American Grammy-winning engineer Randy Merrill of Sterling Sound (Imagine Dragons, Cage The Elephant, Muse, Maroon 5, Paul McCartney, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Adele and Lady Gaga).
While all five members of the band and co-producer John Paul Peters write the songs together, it’s frontman Eric LaBossiere who writes the lyrics. In a move that distances Eric from his old style of writing stories and narratives about other people’s lives, LaBossiere made this album completely personal.
“I used to hide behind the lyrics, behind the stories and narratives but now, everything is out in the open.”
-Eric LaBossiere on writing the lyrics for “Find The Shoreline”
The songs on “Find The Shoreline” talk directly about his personal interactions with friends, family, acquaintances and life in general…the good and the bad. In recent years, LaBossiere likes to write his songs as reminders of mistakes he has made and of what not to do again…whether that song ends up being a fun or dramatic version of the reminder. However, he always tries to make sure that every song has a glimpse and lining of hope within it, because no matter what, he believes you can always make it through to the other side.
