One day after revealing their plans to revisit their sixth studio album, “This Is Why,” Paramore has unveiled the guest-filled tracklist for their upcoming project, which they’re calling an “almost” remix album, titled “Re: This Is Why.” The lineup features collaborations with Julien Baker on the track titled “Thick Skull,” Claud on “Crave,” and a demo version of “Sanity” from their sixth LP, originally released in February.

Earlier in the week, the band teased that this project fulfills a long-held dream of connecting with artists who have been a source of inspiration for them. In their own words, “We’ve always wanted to acknowledge the profound connection we share with artists who have influenced our band or have mentioned us as an influence. ‘Re: This Is Why’ can be described as an ‘almost’ remix album. Some songs have undergone classic remix treatments, while others have been reimagined and rewritten. It’s truly remarkable to witness the convergence of our musical worlds.”

The initial release of “This Is Why” marked Paramore’s comeback with Hayley Williams, Zac Farro, and Taylor York reuniting after a hiatus, and it served as their first album since 2017’s “After Laughter.” Unfortunately, the band had to cancel the last two dates of their U.S. tour in August due to Hayley Williams falling ill with a severe lung infection.
