Natalie Claro’s thought-provoking music is nothing short of a masterful melding of sounds akin to legends like Paramore and Queen.
What’s even more incredible is the fact that this eclectic artist is the sole writer, producer, and instrumentalist for her music.
Her latest release, “Cracked Pepper” was written about 2 years ago when an amusing comment was made to her after a performance. She said, “I had done a show and was asked if I was on cocaine… I thought that was hilarious. I feel a lot of artists, not even just performers, have such uppity tendencies while working because there’s so much to think about. Your future doesn’t lie in a company or a boss, you don’t get a weekly salary, you have to worry about every facet yourself, and it can be a lot of pressure.”

A message for all of us artists in Nashville and beyond, Natalie hits home on the pressure we all feel in an industry that can prove to be volatile more often than not. Coupled with soul-drenching vocals, crunchy riffs, and all the energy you need in your next favorite song, “Cracked Pepper” is guaranteed to please.
“Cracked Pepper” has hit the ground running and has been met with critical acclaim from music lovers and publications alike. This is no surprise to us as her previous releases have all done the same. These are just a few of her past reviews:
“The track builds splendidly to include distorted guitars and heavy drums while Claro’s smooth vocals hit all the right notes.”
-Roling Stone
“The sultry single highlights powerful, soulful vocals soaring atop heavy guitars and shiny drums.”
-Earmilk
This track is more than enough to convince you to catch Claro at one of her explosive live shows. We’re talking cartwheels, costume changes, mosh pits, drum solos, and much more. Each one of her tours are a theatrical experience you don’t want to miss. Not all artists are entertainers, but Natalie Claro is both in spades.
If you think you’ve seen her before, chances are you have. This powerhouse has toured/shared the stage with acts like Plain White T’s, Halfnoise, Public, Hunny, Hawthorne Heights, and Grizfolk, and performed at events such as Hollister’s High School Nation Tour 2019, SXSW, Sofar Sounds LA, Sony’s Balcony TV.
Natalie Claro is one of those unforgettable artists. Her spunky blend of the old and new, as well as her unmistakable energy has earned her a spot at the top of our playlist with “Cracked Pepper.”
