Artist Marcus Alland discovered his love for music in church at the age of 14. Of all the aspects of the worship service, it was the drummer that captivated Alland, and it was there his musical journey began.
We sat down with the King of good vibes to talk about his journey, his sound and where his musical soul is leading him next.
Bridge: How would you describe your sound?
MA: I would describe my sound by it being soulful. I like to have something that I can feel in my music. It’s always been the core of me when I create. If I can’t feel something from me listening to someone’s beats, then I’m honestly not going to feel influenced to write or create anything to it.
Bridge: Has it always been music for you? If you weren’t doing this, what would you be pursuing?
MA: Oh most definitely! Music has always been such a strong passion for me since the age of 14 when I first started to make beats in my bedroom. I developed an even stronger passion for music at age 16 when I started writing my own songs. If I wasn’t passionate for music as I am now, I probably would’ve gotten into photography. The camera has caught my eye from time to time but currently I would just pursue it as a hobby.
Bridge: Where do you find most of your inspiration from as an artist?
MA: I would say the most of my inspiration honestly comes from mine and other people’s life experiences. I’ve always considered it to be the biggest inspiration in music because life is so vast as far as topics to choose from. Such as love, heartbreak, day to day experience, and etc.

Bridge: Who would your dream collaboration be with?
MA: It’s crazy because I have so many but the number one dream collaboration for me would be Michael Jackson. Other than the reason for me being a fan of his, Michael has so much passion and his creativity is so out of this world.
Bridge: Who in the industry inspires you, the way they create and operate in the business?
MA: Well I have three people for this question and that would be Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Hit-Boy. I can guarantee that if I was underneath any one of those individual’s wings, I would level up in such a way it would be outrageous.
Bridge: What’s been the most difficult and most rewarding part about pursuing music?
MA: As far as the most difficult, I would say it would be the financial side of me pursuing my career. Being that I’m independent and still working a 9-5, it can be a hassle at times but I stick through it and push forward with what I can get. The most rewarding part is still receiving progress with what I have. It does my heart good to know that I didn’t quit and also people’s positive remarks towards the music.
Bridge: What projects do you have going on right now?
MA: I’ve just released my independent debut album called “INTRODUCTION.” You can stream it on all music streaming platforms. I think you won’t regret listening to this body of work. It has been years in the making and now it’s finally here!

Bridge: What do you hope to accomplish with your music in 2022?
MA: What I hope to accomplish in 2022 is to consistently grow my fan base, get booked for more performances, and continue to evolve my sound.
Bridge: Anything else that you’d like our readers to know?
MA: Check out the sound I took time to develop by checking out my debut album “INTRODUCTION” streaming everywhere! Be ready for more music coming soon. You can follow me on instagram and twitter @marcusalland.
