Country/pop artist and esteemed Nashville songwriter Levi Hummon has released his new song “Rock Bottom” today, Friday, September 8. Featuring Sam Tinnesz, (“Play With Fire,” “Legends Are Made”), the track has an alternative/rock edge that shows a brand new side of Levi’s evolving artistry. To celebrate the release, Levi will be performing in Las Vegas this evening at Nellie’s Southern Kitchen inside the MGM Grand Arena at 5pm. “I grew up listening to country because of my dad, but also was a skater so I had a deep love for everything punk rock. This is a testament to the music I grew up on, and the sonic influences I’ve had ever since I was a kid,” Levi shared with PopCulture. “Honestly, this song and the collaboration has been so much fun and that’s what music is all about. When we start drawing genre lines that’s when everything becomes a bummer and less experimental and inclusive.”
The release of “Rock Bottom” is Levi’s first since signing with Jonas Group Entertainment for representation, and 2023 has been a momentous year for Levi. In January, he had a sold-out hometown show at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley, where special guests Walker Hayes and Cassadee Pope joined Levi on stage to perform his hugely popular collaborations, “Paying For It” and “RSVP.”
With over 162 million global streams due in large part to fan favorites such as “Good Riddance,” “Stupid” and “Paying For It” featuring Walker Hayes, which garnered viral traction and major success on TikTok, Levi has established a devoted and loyal fan-base. Having opened for acts like Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Lady A and Kelsea Ballerini among others, and selling out his own headlining shows, it’s clear why he’s been named one ofEntertainment Weekly’s “5 Artists Breaking Now” and “One to Watch” by Rolling Stone Country.
