JB Elwood Releases New Single “Something In The Water”

Must Read

JB Elwood comes from a musical family in West Virginia, where his grandpa played the fiddle, banjo and guitar, and other relatives sang gospel songs on the local radio station.  In recent years, JB has planted new roots in Austin, Texas; a vibrant city rich in opportunity. “I fell in love with its culture and people and knew it’d be the perfect place to launch my music career.”
A few years before his grandpa “Poppy,” passed away, he told JB: “Son, you sure know how to pick that guitar. Stick with it and you’ll go somewhere one day with it.” He believed in his grandson so much that he gave his prized 1960’s Gibson Dove guitar to JB.

His stage name, “JB Elwood” is inspired by his other grandpa, John Elwood Ball, who was a small business owner and entrepreneur in the coalfields of southern West Virginia. “As you can tell, my identity and sound have been shaped by family and life experiences.”
JB’s goal is “to write and produce music that tells stories everyone can relate to.”  He has certainly hit the mark with that goal.  JB’s songs are polished, hook-filled pop gems with subtle rock, Americana and blues influences that sound as good as anything on today’s pop radio.  Head on over to Spotify and check out “Something In The Water” and “Don’t Go Looking For Love” for starters.  JB has also released several entertaining videos with interesting storylines and strong acting performances.  JB Elwood is going places in the music industry.  You’ve read that here first.
