VIDEO: Jake Owen Kicks Off Summer With ‘On The Boat Again’ on ABC’s Good Morning America

Must Read

As the summer of 2023 kicks off, beach aficionado Jake Owen, signed with Big Loud Records, set the stage on fire yesterday with a performance of his latest single “On The Boat Again” on ABC’s Good Morning America.

Prior to his performance, Owen engaged in a spirited game of pickleball in Times Square alongside professional players Parris Todd, Alix Truong, and twin brothers Hunter and Yates Johnson. He also had a delightful conversation with hosts Linsey Davis and Mary Bruce. With his signature velvety vocals, Owen delivered the sun-soaked, mid-tempo anthem, which is a boat-ready rendition of Willie Nelson’s timeless hit “On the Road Again.”

This perfectly themed lead single is a part of his highly anticipated seventh studio album, Loose Cannon. Rolling Stone praises the track, noting that it pays homage to Nelson while earning its rightful place on any water-themed playlist. “On The Boat Again” is already making waves on country radio, having secured airplay on 66 stations during its first week.

Last night, Owen made a brief trip to the nearest beach in New York and performed a rooftop pop-up show at The Rockaway Hotel in Queens. The energetic event was filled with a captivating mix of chart-toppers, exclusive previews from Loose Cannon, beloved deep cuts, and much more, delighting his dedicated fans.
