Bridge: Describe your sound…

RW: I’m an electronic and hip-hop music producer. I started producing music at the age of 17. Early on my passion for music was driven by inspiration from relatives and film scores.

Bridge: How long have you been making music?

RW: I’ve been making music for over 10 years and became a music executive and marketing specialist in 2014.

What first inspired you to go into music?

RW: Really just the love and passion for music and the feeling that it gives. Over the years I think I’ve been behind enough records to know which one is a hit or which one is going to do good elsewhere. I think even in a world full of yes men there are still people who will tell you the truth about your music and how it sounds.

Bridge: What do you want listeners to get out of your music?

RW: Honestly if I’m actually producing the record I want them to go on a journey in their minds. Theres no point in listening to music unless it evokes some form of emotion out of you.

Bridge: Where do you find your inspiration?

RW: A lot of old school records, and melodies. For EDM I have to be put in that zone so I’m definitely listening to Daft Punk. But for R&B and Hip Hop I’m listening to The Isley Brothers, The Gap Band, George Clinton, etc., since it’s always so many samples for a lot of records or inspirations behind them.

Bridge: What projects are you currently working on?

RW: Mainly SOM Talk Live and working with some new acts and established on marketing them and doing some placements as well. Do you have any current releases? – My latest release would be a Theme song for popular clothing company “City Gear”.
