Kartik Sehrawat is a fast-rising multilingual singer and songwriter overseas.
Kartik, who was born in Delhi and now resides in Germany, has just released his third single, Давай ще (Dawai Shche), written and sung in Ukrainian. The single, that was released on August 12th, is part of a beautiful project Sehrawat is working on in which he is writing and performing songs in languages from all over the world. The project stems from Sehrawat’s lifelong love of music and travel. It will feature songs in 42 of the most widely spoken languages across the globe.
In the short time since it’s international debut, Давай ще (Dawai Shche) has amassed over 600k+ views from across the world. The track is a love song centered on the story of a Ukrainian woman and an Indian man who learn about each other’s cultures and languages.
Dawai Shche follows on from Sehrawat’s first two tracks, written in both Punjabi and English and was directed by Heiko Aufdermauer and it features the Ukrainian actress Julia Samson from Odessa, Ukraine. The overall budget of the song was ₹1 million(or 10,000€ appx).

Bridge: Describe your sound to us…
KS: This song is a track written and recorded in the Ukrainian language
Bridge: How long have you been making music?
KS: I’ve been practising to speak Ukrainian language since 3 months before the release (since I don’t speak Ukrainian language)
Bridge: What first inspired you to pursue music?
KS: My first inspiration was my favourite singer from India ‘Sonu Nigam‘
Bridge: What do you want listeners to get out of your music?
KS: Dawai Shche is not just any song for me, it’s my feelings came to life through this song. So it holds a special position in my life.
Bridge: Where do you find your inspiration?
KS: My inspiration lies in my audience who cheers me up with their wonderful reactions and reviews.
Bridge: What projects are you currently working on?
KS: Currently I’m working on my next song in German language.
Bridge: What are your current releases?
KS: I already have two other songs live. The first is in Punjabi language ‘Maardi Ae Goli’ and the second is in English ‘All my Life‘
