Sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Chris Stapleton, Scotty McCreery, and Little Big Town.
“I wrote “Playboy” a few years ago after experiencing an overly confident guy come up to me at a bar and insist that he was going to be my date for the rest of the night,” Clark told BRIDE, “I’ve always believed that men like this are afraid of confronting something deeper within themselves and therefore take it out on the girls they get with.” She continued, ““ I wrote this song about understanding who a guy is immediately after meeting them & that women do not have to accept & validate this type of behavior. Hey, “if you can’t play nice, I ain’t ever gonna let you play boy!”
With her confessional storytelling and old soul, Clark’s music seamlessly blends songwriter roots with a breezy west coast chill vibe, all grounded by earthy tones. Currently based in Los Angeles and Nashville, this talented artist has already made waves in the music industry, earning recognition from renowned publications such as Rolling Stone, Billboard, and iHeart Radio.
Clark’s musical journey began at a young age when she started working professionally in the entertainment industry at just nine years old. Since then, she has continued to hone her craft, attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music’s summer program three times and earning a vocal scholarship. Her tightly-woven lyrics and exceptional songwriting skills have been showcased in tracks like “We Both Know,” where her gift for storytelling shines.
Graduating from the University of Southern California (USC) with honors in both the Thornton School of Music and the Marshall School of Business, Clark’s achievements extend beyond her musical endeavors. Her debut album, “Made Me,” released on March 17, 2023, has been met with critical acclaim, and the upcoming release of the “Made Me (Deluxe Edition)” on July 28, 2023, is highly anticipated.
As Clark continues to establish herself as an artist to watch, she remains grounded and focused on the power of connection. She believes that music is a form of therapy and aims to create songs that resonate with others on a deep emotional level. Her forthcoming music, recorded remotely during the pandemic, is a testament to her ability to adapt and create meaningful art even in challenging times.
With influences ranging from Taylor Swift to John Mayer, Clark’s music embodies a unique blend of introspection and mellow vibes. Her satin vocals shine in songs like “We Both Know,” a dance-floor anthem that explores the complexities of unspoken attraction. Collaborating with producer Mark Siegel, Clark has created a collection of personal and heartfelt songs that promise to resonate with listeners.
With her profound lyrics, captivating performances, and genuine desire to connect with her audience, Clark is poised to leave a lasting impact on the music industry. As she continues to inspire and comfort through her music, this talented artist is undoubtedly one to watch in the years to come.
