Hailing from Brooklyn, this rising act delivers a healthy, nostalgic serving of early 2000s emo and pop-punk with a fresh twist that pushes boundaries of the genre with his latest single, “Wanna Say Goodbye”

When giving insight to the track, he said, “As a person with high-functioning anxiety, to me this song is about the constant urge to pack up and leave after staying in one place too long. Some people call it a 5-year urge or itch, but for me I just feel like I outgrow the places I’m at, and it’s okay.”
Boasting those Paramore-esque guitar riffs that punk lovers like myself cut our teeth on, “Wanna Say Goodbye,” brings light-hearted sound to a heavy subject. And Darro knows a thing or two about heavy subjects.

After releasing his debut EP ‘Nostalgia’ in 2017, the then 24-year-old musician was diagnosed with a brain tumor that resulted in surgery and rehabilitation that saw him re-learning to speak and sing.
Despite his hardships, Darro persevered and utilized his recovery as a means of inspiration to release his debut full-length album ‘Song Of Recovery’ in November 2020. Though met with life’s unexpected difficulties, Darro’s debut garnered critical acclaim on various charts, including ranking at #11 on the iTunes Rock Albums, and became emblematic of his journey as a musician.
