Austin Tolliver Drops Official Music Video For “Bad 4 U”

Must Read

Austin Tolliver is creating a brand of country music all his own. His latest release, “Bad 4 U‘ combines the hip hip hooks and southern swagger Tolliver is becoming known for.

“Bad 4 U” dropped along with the official music that made its world premiere on Roughstock. The video brings the message of Tolliver’s single to life, from the emotion of the acting to the “hot and cold” colored visuals representing the highs and lows of a relationship whose success is ultimately up to the people in it.

We caught up with Austin to ask about the new single and what to expect from him in 2023.

Bridge: Tell us about “Bad 4 U”

Austin: Bad 4 U serves as a reminder that issues in a relationship can always be worked out no matter what anyone says or whatever outside noise there is. Just because people may think we are bad for each other, all that matters is that “I got it bad 4 u” and “u got it bad 4 me.” That’s an important message for people to understand—love who you love and let the outside noise be just that, outside.

Bridge: How do you feel this single represents you as an artist?

Austin: It represents me as a person, which is what I want people to understand. My art and I are one and the same. Everything is a reflection of something I have been going through.

Bridge: What kind of experience do you want viewers to have when watching the music video?

Austin: I want the viewers to feel the visuals alongside the lyrics and form their own meaning for the song. Everyone will perceive things slightly differently than the intended meaning, but that’s what makes us human beings great. I appreciate all the different angles or versions people create after watching all my videos.

Bridge: Give us some insight into the direction you’re heading this coming year…

Austin: This coming year I’m going to do everything in my possible power to take over the mainstream country space. I want Morgan, Luke, Kane, Nate, Kameron, Bryan Martin, Josh Mirenda, Cole, and Hardy to wake up every day and know I’m there, and I’m here to compete. They are so talented and have made their name but I truly feel it’s my time now.
