LA-based, alternative pop artist Ryan Mitchell is back with a new single, “Ruin My Life.” Mitchell’s eclectic and magnetic presence, gracefully complimented by his masterful songwriting, is on full display in this surprising new track.
Punk-rock inspired “Ruin My Life” kicks off with an addictive energy reminiscent of the bands that inspired him like My Chemical Romance, Queen, Blackbear and many more. That same energy carries through until the last note, leading you to hit repeat again and again.
When asked about the song, Ryan said, ““I’ve never been this excited to release a song. I hope the message of Ruin My Life resonates with anyone who is going through a difficult breakup, is recovering from addiction, or feels like their impulsiveness gets the best of them at times. I hope they can hear this song and know they aren’t alone.”
We can’t think of a better or more therapeutic way to help those of us in the midst of similar struggles. He continues, “The phrase “Ruin My Life?” is a pickup line in the alternative/punk community. It’s a way of asking someone out while expressing the risk in doing so. This song is also significant for those who are overcoming addiction. I hope to in part give a voice to this community and help people.”
With a message so pure and a delivery so playful, there is no doubt that “Ruin My Life” will continue to take Ryan Mitchell to the top of the charts.
